Popsicle Bridge

Event Id : 397

Event Name : Popsicle Bridge

Event Brief :

Popsicle Bridge is an exciting technical event at MU Fest 2025, organized by the Civil Engineering Department (Diploma/FOET), Marwadi University. This challenge tests participants' engineering skills, creativity, and teamwork as they design and build a structurally sound bridge using only 150 popsicle sticks and white glue. Teams will have 3 hours to construct their bridge, which will be tested for strength by loading weight at the center. The bridge that withstands the highest load before failure wins! 🏆 🔹 Team Size: Max 3 members 🔹 Bridge Specs: Length 35-40 cm, Clear Span 30 cm, Height Max 15 cm, Min Roadway Width 10 cm 🔹 Judging: Load-bearing capacity, failure at 5 cm deflection or structural collapse 🔹 Prizes & Certificates for winners and participants Join this thrilling engineering challenge and put your skills to the test! 🚀

Rules / Guidelines / Judging Criteria For Popsicle Bridge

- Judging Criteria :

The Popsicle Bridge willbe evaluated based on its load-bearing capacity and structuralintegrity. The winning bridge will be determined as follows:

Strength Test: Thebridge will be loaded at its center, and weight will be appliedwithin the 30 cm clear span.
 Failure Criteria:

  • Deflection exceeding 5 cm
  • Structural breaking or collapse

🏆 WinnerSelection: The bridge that withstands the highest load beforefailure will be declared the winner.

Let me know if you need anymodifications! 🚀
