Event Brief :

Act out a Word Game is a fun and engaging game where players express a given word, phrase, movie, or song through physical actions and gestures without speaking. The objective is for the other participants to correctly guess what is being acted out. This game is commonly played in family gatherings or team-building events and encourages creativity, quick thinking, and non-verbal communication skills. It can be played in teams or individually, where one person acts out the word while others try to guess it within a set time limit. The words can be from various categories like movies, songs, professions, objects, or emotions, making the game versatile and exciting for all age groups.

Rules / Guidelines / Judging Criteria For Act out a word

- Judging Criteria :

ON THE POINTS BASIS.

- Entry Rules & Guidelines :

Gameplay rules:-

�       We are conducting an exciting "Act out a Word" game with 15 groups (5 members each), and there will be 5 rounds with different themes.

�       No Speaking or Sound Effects: The actor cannot speak, mouth words, or make noises.

�       No Writing or Spelling: Players cannot write or spell the word in the air.

�       Use Only Gestures and Body Movements: Players must act out the word using expressive gestures, facial expressions, and body language.

Guessing Rules:

o   The team or individual guessing must call out final answer aloud.

o   If the correct word is guessed within the time limit, the team/player earns a point.

�       Time Limit: If no one guesses the word in time, no points are awarded.

�       Fair Play– Any cheating (whispering, lip-syncing, or giving hints outside of acting)will result in disqualification.

�       Penalty Mode: If a player breaks a rule (e.g., speaks), they lose a point or turn.

�       Scoring System– Each correctly guessed word earns 1point for the team. Incorrect guesses get 0 points.

�       Tie-Breaker Rule – If two or more teams tie, an extra round will be played with more difficult words.

�       Speed Bonus – If a team guesses the word in less than 30 seconds, they earn an extra 0.5 points.

�      Judge’s Decision is Final – If there is a dispute, the game coordinator’s decision will be final.

Round structure and elimination rules:- 

Round 1:

• Top 12 teams (with the highest scores) will move to the next round.
• The 3 teams with the lowest scores are eliminated.

Round 2:

• Top 9 teams will proceed to the next round.
• The 3 lowest-scoring teams are eliminated.

Round 3:

• Top 6 teams will advance to the next round.
• The 3 lowest-scoring teams are eliminated.

Round 4:

• Top 3 teams will qualify for the final round.
• The 3 lowest-scoring teams are eliminated.

Final Round:

• The team with the highest score in this round will be declared the WINNER!
