Base Match.com
Event Brief :
A Base Pair Matching Game typically refers to a learning activity used to teach or reinforce the concept of base pairing in DNA structure. In DNA, the two strands of the double helix are held together by base pairs. The game usually involves matching pairs of nucleotides (the building blocks of DNA), where adenine (A) pairs with thymine (T) and cytosine (C) pairs with guanine (G).

Rules / Guidelines / Judging Criteria For
Base Match.com
- Judging Criteria :
• The player with the mismatched pair will be disqualified.
• The participants with correct pairs as fast as possible will win the game.
- Entry Rules & Guidelines :
Round-1
1. Start the Game: At the signal (e.g., a whistle or countdown), the player races to pick individual cards from the box one by one to complete the base pair match.
Players must attempt to match the correct DNA base pairs:
▪ A matches with T and vice versa
▪ C matches with G and vice versa
They can immediately pick up only one card from the box to continue matching.
2. Incorrect Match:
If the pair doesn’t match, the player must return the cards to the box and start
again with new cards.
3. Fast and Accurate: The fastest player to make the correct match gets the point for that round. Players can make as many attempts as they want during the round, but speed and accuracy matter the most.
4. Only a single attempt is allowed to complete the base pair match.
Round-2
1. Players need to remember the consecutive three-letter sequences of DNA and collect the correct complementary matching sequence from a pile of random letters.
2. Collected matching letters should be placed correctly on the DNA sequence.
Winning the Game:
- After completion, the player with the mismatched pair will be disqualified.
- The participants with correct pairs as fast as possible will win the game.
