Event Name : SUDOKU

Event Brief :

Sudoku is a Japanese fun puzzle game. It requires the player to fill in the 9x9 square grids with the numbers one to nine. The numbers should be arranged in such a way that each row, column and mini-grid contains one of each number. A single error in a Sudoku throws the whole game out.The Sudoku-solving skills of contestants will be tested through the regular Classic Sudoku as well as different Sudoku variations. This event consists of three rounds.

Rules / Guidelines / Judging Criteria For SUDOKU

- Judging Criteria :

�       Each row must contain the numbers from 1 to 9,without repetitions

�       Each column must contain the numbers from 1 to9, without repetitions

�       The digits can only occur once per block(nonet)

�       The sum of every single row, column and nonetmust equal 45

�        The game is over when the whole Sudoku grid iscorrectly filled with numbers.

- Entry Rules & Guidelines :

Participants must be an individual. Teams are not allowed.
• Game level may be moderate, tough or diabolical.
• Same/different Sudoku puzzle will be provided to each participant.
• Participants should carry Pen/ Pencil.
• First and second rounds are of 20 minutes duration and final round will be duration of 30 minutes.
• The timer starts as soon as the puzzle has been given.
• Use of mobile phone or any electronic gadget etc, are strictly prohibited during the contest by any participator.
• 40% of the top scoring candidates will be sent to the 2nd round.
• Out of the remaining candidates 20% will be sent to the 3rd and final round.
• The decision of the Judges will be final.
