Event Name : Beer Game

Event Brief :

• There would be NO COMMUNICATION (verbal or non - verbal) • Each transaction will take place within 30 sec • The customer demand is only known to the retailer • If the stock is available sufficient to fulfill and Trader, the order has to be obliged. • Every order has to be fulfilled, either in the current week or in the coming weeks (if there are backorders) • If at any point in the game you feel like fulfilling your back logs and you have sufficient inventory, you may do so. • Backlog should be written in positive and should be accumulated • When backlog is zero you have positive End Inventory entry. When End Inventory is Zero, you have positive backlog entry. • Note that each participant has to fill in the sheets given to you as indicated by the instructor. • Each team tries to minimize the total cost for everyone in the supply chain by maintaining low stocks but managing to deliver all orders. • Each group assumes the role of a company. • Each company is the supplier or customer of the other company • Multiple games can be played at the same time and teams can compete against one another. • Each team tries to minimize the total cost for everyone in the supply chain by maintaining low stock but managing to deliver all orders. • The simulation begins with the following set up;  12 cases of beer in each of the ‘current inventory’ squares  4 cases of beer in each of the ‘shipping delay’ squares  Orders for 4 cases in each ‘order placed’, ‘incoming order’, and ‘custom order’ squares The basic objective of the games is to satisfy the demand of various participants (Customer | Retailer | Wholesaler | Distributor) in supply cahin of product with Minimum Cost of Inventory.

Rules / Guidelines / Judging Criteria For Beer Game

- Judging Criteria :

Minimum Inventory at the end of 08 Rounds.

Winners

The group which is able to satisfy all the incoming orders with minimum inventory on hand at the end of 08 rounds will be the winner of the game.
There are First Runner Up and Second Runner Up as well.
