As one of the most awaited highlights of MU Fest 2026, this fashion showdown transforms the stage into a powerhouse of style, attitude, and unstoppable energy. From fierce modern silhouettes to timeless Indian elegance and global inspirations, every walk sets the ramp on fire. This is where passion meets performance, where teams own the spotlight, and every step speaks power. With curated themes, dynamic music, and professional grooming insights, Runway Radiance is not just about fashion—it’s about presence, confidence, and making a statement.

Rules / Guidelines / Judging Criteria For Fashion Show- Audition

- Judging Criteria :

Teams will be judged based on:

1.     Costume and styling

2.     Theme relevance and creativity

3.     Walk, posture, and expressions

4.     Formation, coordination, and stage presence

5.     Overall impact and presentation

The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

- Entry Rules & Guidelines :

1.

Event Format

 

     The fashion show is a team-based event.

     Each team must consist of a minimum of 8 and a maximum of 15 members, including all participants and one team coordinator.

     The competition will be conducted in two stages: Audition (Elimination Round) and Finale.

 

 

2.

Time & Performance Guidelines

 

     The total time limit for each team is 8 minutes, inclusive of stage setup, performance, and exit.

     Teams must strictly adhere to the allotted time. Exceeding the time limit may result in penalty or disqualification.

     Time management is a crucial judging parameter.

 

 

3.

Theme & Presentation

 

     Theme selection is open to the teams, subject to approval by the organizing committee. If the theme selection is not appropriate then Organizing committee will provide theme for the Ramp Walk.

     Each team must present one tagline that clearly represents their theme and concept.

     Teams should ensure that their presentation is culturally sensitive, respectful, and appropriate for a university audience.

 

 

4.

Music & Technical Requirements

 

     All teams must submit their audio/video tracks in MP4 format via pen drive at least 3 days prior to the audition to the student coordinator.

     Teams are advised to carry a backup copy of their tracks.

 

 

5.

Dress Code & Decorum

 

     Decency and dignity must be maintained at all times.

     Tube tops, revealing outfits, and dresses above knee length are strictly prohibited.

     Any form of vulgarity, obscenity, or inappropriate gestures will lead to immediate disqualification.

 

 

6.

Props & Stage Restrictions

 

     Hazardous, objectionable, or unsafe props such as fire, firecrackers, vehicles, are strictly prohibited.

     The organizing committee reserves the right to disallow or confiscate any prop deemed inappropriate or unsafe.

     Props may be changed, but costume changing during performance is not permitted.

 

 

7.

Judging Criteria

 

     Teams will be judged based on:

 

1.      Costume and styling

2.      Theme relevance and creativity

3.      Walk, posture, and expressions

4.      Formation, coordination, and stage presence

5.      Overall impact and presentation

6.      The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.

 

 

8.

Audition & Finale Structure

 

     An audition round will be conducted for all registered teams.

     Teams shortlisted from auditions will qualify for the Finale.

     The Finale will consist of two rounds:

     Round 1 Elimination Round:

All shortlisted teams will be given a maximum of 8 minutes to present their theme.

     Round 2 – Final Round:

Selected teams will present a final sequence of up to 3 minutes.

 

 

9.

Registration & Fees

 

     The total registration fee per team is ₹5000.

     At the time of audition, teams must pay ₹500 as audition registration fees.

     Teams shortlisted for the finale must pay the remaining ₹4500 before the final round.

     Registration fees are non-refundable.

 

 

10.

Costume and Make-Up

 

Costume and Make-Up needs to be managed by teams only.

Threads of Bharat 🇮🇳

India’s cultural journey through clothing

       Saree, dhoti, kurta, dupatta

       Each model represents a state

       Background: classical folk fusion

       one specific traditional textile or specialty only (e.g., Bandhani or Patola or Silk), and not multiple variations.

Theme:2

Ravishing Retro

       First half: 60s–80s styles

Theme:3

Royal India: Then & Forever

Regal elegance

       Anarkali, bandhni, velvet jackets

       Minimal props: crowns, dupattas

       Royal Look

Theme:4

Street to Stage

       Hoodies, sneakers, backpacks

       College-life storytelling walk

Theme:5

The Power of Saree

       5–6 draping styles (With Corset, Belts, Leather Jackets etc)

       Fusion blouses, belts

A timeline-based theme showing the transformation of the saree from its ancient drapes to modern pre-draped, belted, and "pant-saree" versions

Elements of Nature

Inspired by Earth

  Fire – red/orange

Focus on vibrant outfits mirroring exotic birds and lush greenery, incorporating tribal jewellery and hand-painted forest motifs.

Imagination meets fashion

  Metallic shades

Mughal Era

Contrast the heavy embroidery and grandeur of the Mughal period

Spanish Carnival

       Flamenco-style long skirt with ruffles

       Fitted blouse or crop top (non-revealing)

       Off-shoulder or puff-sleeve tops (secure & decent)

       High-waist skirt top combination

       Polka-dot or solid bold fabrics

Power Play – Corporate to Couture
