Event Brief :

MU Lens – Vibes. Camera. Action. is a student-led short documentary film competition held as part of MU Fest 2026 at Marwadi University, designed to capture the energy, emotions, and behind-the-scenes moments of the fest through a cinematic lens. Working in small teams, participants will document real experiences from the festival and transform them into a concise, engaging visual story that reflects campus life, creativity, and celebration. The event encourages observational storytelling, teamwork, and creative expression while giving students an opportunity to explore filmmaking as a medium to preserve memories and present the spirit of MU Fest in an authentic and impactful way.

Rules / Guidelines / Judging Criteria For LIVEFRAME- A Documentary making Competition

- Judging Criteria :

Films will be judged on:

  • Storytelling & narrative flow

  • Cinematography & visuals

  • Editing & sound quality

  • Creativity & originality

  • Overall impact


- Entry Rules & Guidelines :

  • Participation is allowed only in teams of 2 to 4 students, and all participants must be bonafide students of Marwadi University.

  • The entry fee is ₹100 per participant, and it is non-refundable.

  • Each team must create a 4-minute short documentary based only on MU Fest 2026.

  • The film must be shot in 16:9 aspect ratio; vertical videos or reel formats are strictly not allowed.

  • The final submission must be in MP4 format with a recommended resolution of 1920 � 1080 (Full HD) or above.

  • Narration is permitted in English, Hindi, or a Hindi–English mix (Hinglish).

  • Derogatory, abusive, offensive, or roasting narration is strictly prohibited, and institutional decorum must be maintained.

  • Marwadi University will not provide any technical equipment; participants must arrange their own cameras, microphones, and editing resources.

  • Only original footage shot during MU Fest 2026 is allowed; use of plagiarized, stock, or previously recorded material will lead to disqualification.

  • The documentary must be submitted via a Google Form (link will be provided) within 1.5 days (36 hours) after the completion of the fest; late or incorrect submissions will not be accepted.

  • Films will be evaluated on storytelling, visuals, editing, creativity, and overall impact.

  • The Top 3 documentary films will be announced as winners, and the decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
