Event Brief :

JNĀNA–TECH 2026 is an intellectually immersive quiz competition focusing on the technical, scientific, and engineering dimensions of Bharatiya Knowledge Systems (BKS). Following the highly successful 2024 and 2025 editions, which featured three interactive quiz rounds and an ancient ambience created by student volunteers, the 2026 edition advances the event by deepening technical content in areas such as Ancient Indian mathematics and astronomy, Metallurgy and material science, Water-resource engineering and sustainability, Temple architecture and structural logic, Sanskrit as a formal scientific language, Systems thinking, ethics, and design philosophy. The quiz is conducted in a thematically designed “ancient knowledge environment”, incorporating traditional décor, Sanskrit inscriptions, symbolic artifacts, and visual panels creating an atmosphere that connects participants with India’s intellectual heritage while testing their technical understanding and analytical ability. The quiz will be conducted in three progressive rounds, with elimination at each stage: Round 1 – Prāchīna Tech Prashna (Foundational Round) • Objective / rapid-fire questions • Focus on core concepts of BKS • Shortlisting based on accuracy and speed Round 2 – Yantra–Vidya Challenge (Applied Technical Round) • Image-, diagram-, and case-based questions • Emphasis on engineering applications and technical interpretation • Evaluation based on accuracy and depth Round 3 – Jñāna–Setu (Analytical Integration Round) • Situation-based and analytical questions • Mapping ancient knowledge to modern engineering and sustainability • Final ranking based on cumulative score

Participants willbe evaluated on the following parameters across rounds:

- Entry Rules & Guidelines :

The event is open to Diploma, Undergraduate & Postgraduate students of all discipline but specifically for Engineering and Science discipline.
Participation is individual only.
The use of mobile phones, smart watches, or any digital aids during the quiz is strictly prohibited.
Participants must be present 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.
The quiz will consist of three progressive rounds with elimination at each stage.
Scores will be awarded based on accuracy, technical depth, and response time (where applicable).
In case of a tie, tie-breaker questions will be conducted.
The decision of the Quiz Master and Evaluation Committee shall be final and binding.
Any misconduct or violation of rules will lead to immediate disqualification.
