Event Name : Movie Mania

Event Brief :

Movie Mania is a non-technical entertainment event based on Hindi movies and web series, open for individual participation or team-based entry with a maximum of three members per team. The event is designed to celebrate Bollywood through observation, audio-visual recognition, and rapid-fire quizzing, and is conducted in three elimination-based rounds. The competition begins with Round 1 – Picture Abhi Baaki Hai, where participants identify Hindi movies or actors from partially revealed posters, followed by Round 2 – Scene It? Say It!, which features audio clips, dialogues, songs, or muted video scenes along with related questions. Qualified participants then advance to Round 3 – Final Cut, a fast-paced quiz round where all finalists compete simultaneously based on accuracy and speed of response. Teams qualifying for subsequent rounds will be informed via email regarding venue and schedule details, and participants must report to the event venue at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time. The top three performers of Round 3 will be declared as the winners of the event.

🎨 Round 1 – Picture Abhi Baaki Hai (Poster Round)

Judging will be based on accuracy of the guess and the stage of poster reveal at which the correct answer is given.

Scoring Criteria:

• Correct answer at first reveal: 10 marks

• Correct answer at second reveal: 7 marks

• Correct answer at final reveal: 5 marks

• Incorrect answer: –5 marks

• Skipped answer: 0 marks

Additional Conditions:

• Skipping a question is not permitted; teams must attempt every question.

• Answers must be submitted within the allotted time.

• Teams with the highest cumulative scores will qualify for Round 2.

🔊🎥 Round 2 – Scene It? Say It! (Audio / Video Round)

Judging will be based on correct identification of the clip and timely response.

Scoring Criteria:

• Correct answer (within 30 seconds): 10 marks

• Incorrect answer: –5 marks

• Skipped answer: 0 marks

Additional Conditions:

• Each clip will be played only once; no replays allowed.

• No passing of questions to other teams.

• Teams scoring highest will qualify for Round 3.

⚡ Round 3 – Final Cut (Rapid Quiz Round)

Judging will be based on accuracy and speed of response.

Scoring Criteria:

• Correct answers receive marks based on response time priority.

• Faster correct responses will be ranked higher.

• Incorrect answers may result in negative marking, as announced during the event.

Final Outcome:

• The top three performers of Round 3 will be declared the winners of the event.

- Entry Rules & Guidelines :

   In this round, teams will be shown a partially revealed poster or image related to a Hindi movie or actor.

   • The poster/image will be revealed in three stages.

   • Teams must guess the movie name or actor correctly.

   • Scoring:

     • Correct answer at first reveal: 10 marks

     • Correct answer at second reveal: 7 marks

     • Correct answer at final reveal: 5 marks

     • Incorrect answer: –5 marks

     • Skipped answer: 0 marks

   • Skipping is not allowed; teams must submit an answer.

   • Based on scores, qualified teams will advance to Round 2.

   This round tests participants’ ability to recognize audio and visual clues from Hindi movies and web series.

   • Teams will be shown or played one clip only, which may include:

     • Song audio or music intro

     • Movie dialogue

     • Muted video clip

     • Short movie scene (audio/video)

   • A question related to the clip will be displayed after the clip ends.

   • Teams will get 30 seconds to answer.

   • Scoring:

     • Correct answer: 10 marks

     • Wrong answer: –5 marks

     • Skipped answer: 0 marks

   • No replay of the clip will be allowed.

   • No passing of questions to other teams.

   • Teams qualifying based on scores will move to Round 3.

   The final round is a fast-paced quiz where all qualified teams compete together.

   • Questions will be based on Hindi movies and web series.

   • All teams answer simultaneously.

   • Marks will be awarded based on:

     • Correctness of the answer

     • Speed of response

   • Faster correct responses will receive higher priority.

   • The top three performers of Round 3 will be declared as the winners of the event.
